Itinerary

Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be greeted by a representative from Sitar India tours who will escort you to your hotel. He will brief you about the tour and handover the travel documents. Rest of the day is free to relax. Overnight stay in your hotel.
Enjoy your breakfast and get ready for a full-day excursion tour in Mumbai. Start your day by visiting the Elephanta Caves, where you can opt for a paid guide to enhance your tour experience. Next, explore popular landmarks such as the Gateway of India and the iconic Taj Hotel. Proceed to the Prince of Wales Museum, passing by the Mumbai High Court and University. Take in the picturesque view of Marine Drive and Hanging Garden before stopping by Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus railway station to admire its exquisite architecture. You can also visit the Jain Temple, World Trade Centre, and Jehangir Art Gallery. No Mumbai tour is complete without seeing the Bandra-Worli Sea link and the Race Course. End your day by visiting the Nehru Planetarium and Haji Ali before returning to your hotel for a comfortable stay.

Navigate through the narrow alleys and get lost in the sights and sounds of the area. After having breakfast at the hotel, embark on a full day tour to Ajanta Caves (closed on Mondays). The journey will take approximately 3 hours covering a distance of around 100 km. Ajanta Caves is one of the oldest UNESCO World Heritage sites in India. Explore the 29 Buddhist caves that are nestled in the hillside and witness the beautiful paintings and carvings inside the caves, which reveal ancient Indian history. Admire the carvings on the gigantic pillars, stupas, and ceilings that transport you to the era of ancient times. These carvings and paintings clearly depict the major dominance of Buddhist philosophy. After the visit, return to your hotel and spend the night.
After having breakfast at the hotel, get ready for a day of sightseeing starting with the Ellora Caves (closed on Tuesday) and Aurangabad Caves, both UNESCO World Heritage sites. The rock-cut caves at Ellora, numbering 34 in total, are a magnificent example of ancient Indian architecture. Cave 16, the most famous of these caves, features a sculpture of Lord Shiva carved into the rocks, which is the largest monolith in the world. After exploring the Ellora Caves, the next stop will be the Aurangabad Fort, also known as Devgiri Fort. This impressive fortress, believed to have been built in the 12th century, is situated on a 200 meter high conical hill and is known for its powerful design. The fort is an inspiring example of medieval architecture. After the tour, you will be transferred to the airport or train station, or you can choose to stay overnight in Mumbai.
After breakfast, transfer to the airport to board your flight for onward journey.
